February Lunch Menu

Lunch Program Information

OJA offers a hot lunch program each day of the school year. The goal of the lunch program is to make a significant contribution to the overall physical and mental well-being of students to enable them to participate fully in the educational process.

All children (grades PreK through 8) participating in the National School Lunch Program, whether at a free, reduced, or paid rate, will receive a lunch meal that meets USDA requirements regardless if they do not have adequate money in their student account to cover the cost of the meal at the time of service. Our school withholds meals from a student only if the school receives written direction from a parent or guardian.

In the 2021-2022 school year, the cost for a regular lunch meal is $5.00. Families create an account at MyMealtime.com to prepay and view their student meal balance. Each week, a statement is emailed to families with the balance due on their account.

We encourage all families to apply for free or reduced meals. Application forms are available on our school website via discoveroja.com/lunch.

Hand stamps, stickers, or any other means of overt identification of children that qualify for free, reduced, or paid meals or with unpaid meal debt in the cafeteria or the classroom are prohibited.

This meal policy is provided to families and is reviewed with all school level staff responsible for policy enforcement, including food service personnel, and business office staff involved in notifying families of negative balances.
