Drum Corps

Engineering

Hundreds of children's bicycles are repaired each year by middle schoolers at Orlando Junior Academy. These are given to charities who serve low income and foster children in our Tri-County area. While repairing the bikes, students become skilled at problem-solving and using tools. The repairs are made in a specially equipped 12 station facility in our school. The equipment and instruction are sponsored by AdventHealth and Rusty's Bicycle Recycle, Inc.

Enrichment

After school hours offer numerous and varied opportunities for students to grow academically, physically, and socially. OJA Enrichment changes to meet the students’ interests and community needs. Ask us about what we’re offering in the upcoming semester.

Art Club

In the Art Club, students explore different art media, expanding their knowledge of Art. Each child can choose the Art they want to do with guidance from the Art Teacher. The Art Club is a small setting that allows students to do more significant art projects. We hope to have a special Gallery show at the end of the year to showcase students' work. The art club meets at least twice a month for two hours per session.

Piano

Private music lessons are offered at OJA for all ages; beginners, intermediate and advance with the convenience of having lessons during the school day. We make sure to work out a schedule for each child with the teacher to prevent conflict with the academic program. Students participate in recitals at the end of the year.

More information is available at OJA’s Welcome Desk.
